Oh…Dr. Tabata

If you’ve ever been left in shambles on the floor, blame this man ‘Dr. Tabata”.  I’m not sure if he’s actually a Dr.,” but he is ” Dr. Tabata,” and will do sufficiently well for scape-goating purposes.”

It’s amazing how 20 seconds can seem sooooo long, and 10 seconds can seem soooo short.  For those that have never done a Tabata it works like this.  You commit to doing 8 rounds, 20 seconds working, 10 seconds resting.  (Example; pullups-perform as many pullups as you can for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds, 8 times.)

Today’s WOD:
Tabata Deadlifts (185lbs)
round 1: 6
round 2: 5
round 3: 4
round 4: 3
round 5: 3
round 6: 4
round 7: 3
round 8: 3

Followed up my Muscle Up Practice.  I landed 8 today, 4 pre-wod, 4 post-wod.  If you have a journal subscription, Jeff Tucker has a GREAT video on training the muscleup, and boy has it worked for me.

For those who are looking for more help on the gymnastic skills my box, CFCleveland, is hosting a Gymnastics Cert February 13-14. Can you think of a better v-day gift? I think not.  http://www.regonline.com/GymLakeOHFeb2010
