Yes, I know, pick your jaw off the floor….I’m admiting it, I’m a daddy’s girl. They may call me ‘killer’ in the gym, and I might throw around a lot of weight, but at center of it all I’m as soft as a peep that will always go to my dad when I’m lost. He always seems to know what to say. After Monday’s blow in corporate finance he was there to pick me up as always. A great note he sent me;
Again, I am so proud of you. You have no fear of getting into the competition and pushing yourself in new directions. To join the battle is better than to have stood by and watched. Keep up the struggle Kate. You never know where life will take you. Love, Dad
He always knows just what to say, and he was right. I’ve learned more from charging into battle not knowing what I was getting myself into. I may have had to retreat, but I’m 100% smarter for the experience. What I’ve learned, an MBA is not for me, but I’m already narrowing down the number of mountains and I’m prepping for the climb. I’ll be sure to share this journey with you all, it’s going to be an exciting one.
