Reflecting Back

So today I really started to reflect back on the last three years, why?  Today I traveled an hour south to CF Utility owned by Doug Price to do a special fourth of July ‘Murph’.  For you non-crossfitters thats; Run a mile, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats, run a mile.  No matter how you slice it up, its a can of suck.

I suffered with some old friends and made some new,  but more importantly, I was able to share my journey with some newbies to crossfit.  It’s amazing to think of where I started just 3 years ago and where I’ve gotten to today.  And in that process of sharing my journey I got to thinking about all the reasons I started crossfitting and guess what, NONE of the reasons had anything to do with competing, being sponsored or being on the world stage.

It was to get back into shape, start leading a healthy lifestyle and meet some new people and I hope I never lose sight of that.  Don’t get me wrong, being where I’m at now is pretty bad as*, but it was NOT my goal day 1.

Today’s WOD: Murph – 34:33–PR by 5:10!!
