So I recently attended the CFKids cert (which is AMAZING by the way) and learned about the angry gorilla back. What a brilliant cue. The angry gorilla back is used when teaching kids how to deadlift, and guess what……IT WORKS FOR ADULTS TOO!
How do I know? I cued myself to use the angry gorilla back when dead lifting today and for the first time was able to lift 210lbs with zero….yes zero round in my back. Apparently I just needed someone to explain it to me like I was 5 years old. ha!
Today’s WOD: wendler 531 deads: 185lbs x 5, 205lbs x 5, and I babied out after the 205 and did 210lbs x 5 for my last set.
