Vegetarian for 21 days

Today starts an experiment…a vegetarian experiment. Since my injury in December I’ve been lazy on my die to say the least.  I knew I lost this year of competition so I took some time to be ‘human’ and as a result I now care 5-7lbs more than normal.

On top of that I’ve been reading a lot about the meat packing industry lately and let me tell you, it’s a little frightening what they put in those animals and therefore we eat.  So between wanting to cut weight and detox my system I’m going to try being a vegetarian for 21 days.

What’s the worst case scenario, I eat a clean healthy diet for a few weeks and add meat back in.  It’s still going to benefit me as it’ll force me to really have fun and play with vegetables and get creative.

So here goes nothing….

  1. Hey Rawlings! I did a cleanse about 4 months ago. It wasn’t strictly vegetarian but it was one of the best things I could have done. I read a book called Clean and I learned so much and I developed a new appetite for healthy food. I can’t remember the author but you should check it out. Its amazing what fruits and veggies can do for you! Good luck!

  2. Cool! I hope that you can complete the days that you set about. To be a vegetarian for almost 21 days sounds so crazy to me !! I can be a vegetarian for just 3-5 days but for almost 21 days???? My gosh ! I only hope that you can make it 🙂 .
