Tattoos = Felon

Saturday night I finally pulled the trigger on a new tattoo that I’ve been thinking of getting for two years

‘It is our light, not darkness, that most frightens us’

One thing that is very clear about tattoos is that they are becoming more socially acceptable, but certainly NOT normal.  Especially if they’re not on your back or shoulder. I committed to making a statement with my claws on the forearm, and only further confirmed my ‘i’m going to do me’ with a big bicep tattoo.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned to do the last two years, ‘live life for myself’.  At the end of the day I have to be able to look myself in the mirror.  Was I the best Kate I could be today?  If my answer is yes that’s all I need.  I live my life for me, to make myself happy.  Yes that sounds self centered, but by doing ‘me’ I’ve been able to inspire others to do the same.

So if having tattoos makes me look like a felon I would say the only crime I’ve committed is doing ‘me’ to the fullest.
