One of the hardest parts of competing is being under the watchful eye of a judge, and being held to a standard. There’s no room for error or cutting corners.
A common theme across judging is being able to see quick movement. I know I have caught myself moving fast and missing full range. Not on purpose, but because you’re just focused on moving.
During the set of 15 on 13.4 I even went as far as no repping myself. WHAT?!?!?!?
That’s right….As I was linking toes to bar together I had one toe hit the bar and a second that was pretty damn close. But I can’t take a rep I know isn’t good so I ‘no rep’d’ myself. It may have slowed me down a little explaining to my judge that it shouldn’t be counted, but its the right thing to do.
Just cracks me up that I’m more worried about good reps than a high score. I guess we’re all fueled by different motives.
