About Me

Kate ‘killer’ Rawlings is a sole female owner of Coca CrossFit, I Am Stronger and ‘killer’ Custom Creations.

In 2007 Kate was working in the recruiting industry where business suites were an everyday. When going to pick up a new suit, the size 12 didn’t fit and she was forced to face a harsh truth; she had gotten fat and no on told her.

Over the next last 8 years Kate would reach the pinnacle of the CrossFit world competing individually in Carson, California at the Reebok CrossFit Games as an individual competitor, open her own affiliate, Coca CrossFit, collect 14 certifications start a non-profit, I Am Stronger and ‘killer’ custom creations.

Since competing at the CrossFit Games Kate became a professional CrossFit athlete being picked up by Reebok, Rogue Fitness, AtLargeNutrition, Affinity Whole Health and Sure Sport Active Wear.

As an athlete Kate suffered major injuries, fracturing her S1-L5 vertebra and being placed in a back brace for 24 weeks. Once she began rehabbing looking forward to returning to competition she ruptured her Achilles rebounded on box jumps. The second blow was a big one and one that forced her to look inward and what was truly important.

It was at that time she began working with a life coach, Stephanie Vincnet, to look at what she truly wanted out of life. She quickly realized that becoming more than Kate ‘killer’ Rawlings the athlete she could be so much more, Kate ‘killer’ Rawlings the inspirational spark in people’s lives. After connecting with Greg Amundson, Kate was able to truly figure out her purpose, ‘to get others to believe in themselves’.

A year later she would be forced to have a knee surgery as a result of 18 years of competitive soccer and the years of abuse she had put on her body. It was this third and final strike to Kate’s lingering ego. She truly fell into the role of selflessness’s helping other people flourish.

It was at that time she began building I Am Stronger, a non-profit working to get young girls into CrossFit for free to combat the social pressures of society.

  2. Hey KAte,

This is GAurav from India. A crossfitter my self since the last six months only.

I am on your facebook list and just wanted you to know that you’ve been a big inspiration when it comes to crossfitting here.

    Take care

  3. Gaurav,

Congrats on joining the revolution, it is one that you wont regret. Keep doing work!

  4. Just wanted to say Hi let you know I was here. I somehow wandered here from the Crossfit pages, I just recently discovered CF myself and curiously reading the updates on Facebook and learning what it is all about. I enjoyed reading your page and learning that you were actually at the games, which I think is amazing! Well beyond the reaches of most mortals. Congratulations and much success.

  5. Kate,

I just wanted to say that I heard about the open house today. Daniel says it really ROCKS! You continue to be an unbelievable inspiration to me every day. I read everything that you post!

I will be out there next week and hope to make it by to see you!

In passing on a bit of my success and let you know what you have helped me achieve, you can go to http://www.Grahamfit.com and check out the testimonials! I have finally allowed pictures to be taken. I am down 140 lbs now with 80 to go and I feel so much better than I have in years…..lots of years!

It will take awhile before I can get fully into CrossFit although Graham Fitness is building the new Graham CrossFit exactly .7 miles straight down my street. Sorry but 2300 miles is a bit of a commute or I would come there!

God Bless you dear! Keep up the amazing work you do!

  6. Kate,

I’ve started a blog examining different cubicle behaviors for the productivity freak and office athlete. I’ve some questions about how you have marketed your blog and learn from you a little. I was unable to find an email address on your site but if you contacted me at cubesapien@gmail.com we could get a dialogue going. Thanks!
